Today we’re happy to formally announce our technical partnership with New Relic, providers of powerful application performance monitoring tools. New Relic is now able to monitor the Play Framework, and we’re both working together to expand monitoring capabilities for other Typesafe technologies down the road.
Increasingly, the Typesafe Reactive Platform is being used for mission-critical applications; this partnership with New Relic is significant for us in that we’ll now be able to offer deep visual insight into Play Framework apps, which is critical for customers and users going into production. Awareness of issues and a tool to troubleshoot those issues is essential, since delivering a target Quality of Service depends on knowing what an application's actual quality is. We at Typesafe believe a partnership with New Relic will bring richer insight into the internals of Typesafe Reactive Platform applications.
We’re also excited to attend New Relic’s FutureStack conference this week to meet with other members of the developer community and innovative technologists that are working together to help build and craft the future of modern software. One of our joint customers, Gilt Groupe, will also be attending, and we’re looking forward to an event that is as committed as we are to improving developers’ experiences with new technology and building better software.
